The Core of Our Material
Project Name
The core radiation protection element of our material is bismuth. Bismuth has been well documented for its radiation blocking ability. A well tested and known non-toxic material makes it safe to use, and safe to handle.
Flexible and Durable
We have formulated a highly flexible, durable, and adaptable fabric that can be made to size for specific needs. The radiation blocking strength can be adjusted to meet or exceed current lead based materials. We have engineered these materials with exceptionally high amounts of bismuth (85-90% bismuth by weight), and low amounts of polymers. We expect these materials will be broadly applicable in multiple industries, and we are initially focusing on radiation shielding fabrics to make a better work environment for medical personnel. The stretchy and soft characteristic of the material make for a unique solution for custom radiation shielding.
Custom Shaping
Our materials can be molded into unique shapes and sizes. The high versatility of the core technology can be adapted to meet the specific needs of the final product requirements. Color, surface texture, shapes, radiation protection and flexibility can all be adapted as required.
